Sunshine with Spark: For an extra boost in the morning.
Source: Superjus by Agathe Audouze.
- 1 large orange
- 1/2 lemon
- 3 apples
- 1 pinch chili powder
- 1 pinch ginseng powder
Squeeze the orange and lemon to extract the juice. Place the apples (cut and unpeeled) in a blender or juice extractor; mix both juices together. Add the chili powder and ginseng. As with all spiced juices, add a tiny pinch at first and adjust to taste.
Prep Time: 20 minutes. 3 medium cucumbers (with skins)
1 cup watercress (loosely packed)
1 inch raw unpeeled ginger root
2 lemons, peeled
Stevia (optional), to taste
Juice* all the ingredients and stir in the stevia if desired.
*If you’re using a blender, replace two of the cucumbers with 6 ounces coconut water. Squeeze the lemons by hand and peel and grate the ginger before blending until smooth.
This last one isn’t exactly a juice, but its nutritional benefits are huge and the taste factor won us over on first try. Made with almond milk (containing 50% of the RDA for antioxidant vitamin E) and detoxifying matcha green tea (also antioxidant rich), this recipe is the perfect treat for perking up a winter’s day.
- 2 glasses almond milk
- 1 banana
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tbsp matcha
Place all ingredients in blender and mix until smooth.
